Angela Baysinger, DVM, says that her love and respect for animals goes back to her childhood. She grew up on swine and cattle farms in Missouri and knew she wanted to spend her career working with animals. The moment of realization came when Angela helped a gilt (a young female pig) deliver her first babies. “It was the most amazing thing that I had ever done and from that point on, I wanted to be a veterinarian.”
