Her career took flight as an equine practitioner in a bustling ambulatory performance horse practice located in sunny Orange County, California. It was here that she honed her skills, working closely with both horses and their devoted owners, appreciating the unique bond they share. This formative experience deepened her love for veterinary medicine and drove her to return to her home state of Texas, where she joined a progressive small animal practice in Houston. It was a transition that allowed her to expand her expertise and continue advocating for animals in a new context.
Dr. Knowles’s professional interests are firmly rooted in the areas of technical education and people development. She believes that empowering veterinarians through knowledge is essential for advancing the quality of care provided to companion animals. Over the last 15 years, she has passionately lectured on a diverse array of topics, sharing essential information that ultimately enhances medical outcomes for countless animals.
