Sr. Professional Services Veterinarian,
Central Texas Region (TX)
Dr. Patricia Burbano has built a dynamic and diverse career in veterinary medicine. She began her career as a mixed animal practitioner in Central Texas where she enjoyed small-town living for five years before moving to Denver, Colorado.
In Denver, Dr. Burbano joined Banfield Pet Hospital where she served in multiple leadership roles and enjoyed coaching and developing veterinarians, especially new graduates! In 2017, she transitioned to a pet food industry role with Royal Canin where she supported sales teams and managed veterinary university accounts. This allowed her to work closely with veterinary students and faculty. While in this role, she also completed a graduate certificate program in learning and development at the University of Denver and developed learning programs for veterinary students on nutrition and financial literacy.
Throughout much of her career, Dr. Burbano has served the veterinary community as a relief veterinarian in general practices, emergency practices, and in shelters performing high quality, high volume spays and neuters. Before joining Merck Animal Health, she was a traveling emergency veterinarian working in various hospitals across the country. Dr. Burbano prides herself on her adaptability and ability to integrate into a practice and quickly connect with new teams.
“I love being part of an organization that is not only committed to the health of animals but also committed to the people that watch over them.”
