Product Description

For the treatment and control of:
Lungworms: Adult Dictyocaulus viviparus;
Stomach worms: Adult brown stomach worms (Ostertagia ostertagi), Adult and fourth stage larvae barberpole worms (Haemonchus contortus), fourth stage larvae barberpole worms (H. placei), and Adult and fourth stage larvae small stomach worms (Trichostrongylus axei);
Intestinal worms (Adult and fourth stage larvae): hookworms (Bunostomum phlebotomum), thread-necked intestinal worms (Nematodirus helvetianus), small intestinal worms (Cooperia punctata & C. oncophora), bankrupt worms (Trichostrongylus colubriformis), and nodular worms (Oesophagostomum radiatum).

A single application, low-dose volume paste with specially designed metal hook for convenient dosing. To be used only with SAFE-GUARD dosing equipment. Each 290 gm paste cartridge deworms 12,100 lb. of cattle.1

  • Give orally to beef and dairy cattle
  • One syringe tube treats 58 head of cattle at 220 lbs each
  • Each 290 g paste cartridge deworms 12,000 lb. of cattle
  • Each full depression of the dispensing gun trigger delivers approximately 5 g Safe-Guard Paste
  • To be used only with SAFE-GUARD dosing equipment
  • Do not underdose. Ensure each animal receives a complete dose based on current body weight. Underdosing may result in ineffective treatment and encourage the development of parasite resistance.
  • Retreatment may be needed after 6 to 8 weeks if there is continued exposure to parasites

Important Safety Information

SAFE-GUARD®: Do not use in beef calves less than 2 months old, dairy calves and veal calves. A withdrawal period has not been established for this product in pre-ruminating calves.

Additionally, the following meat withdrawal and milk discard times apply:
SAFE-GUARD® Paste: Cattle must not be slaughtered for 8 days. For dairy cattle, the milk discard time is 96 hours. 
SAFE-GUARD® Suspension: Cattle must not be slaughtered for 8 days. For dairy cattle, the milk discard time is 48 hours.
SAFE-GUARD® ENPROAL® Type C Medicated Block: Cattle must not be slaughtered for 11 days. For use in beef cattle only.
SAFE-GUARD® 20% Protein Type C Medicated Block: Cattle must not be slaughtered for 16 days. For use in beef cattle only.
SAFE-GUARD® Type A and other medicated feed products (pellets, cubes, free-choice mineral, or free-choice liquid): Cattle must not be slaughtered for 13 days. For dairy cattle, the milk discard time is 60 hours.
